About our Snails
South West Snails raise and prepare arguably
the finest English escargots.
Our
snails are reared in a controlled environment which ensures a high
level of growth, health and hygiene. They thrive on a cereal based
diet which includes thyme, marjoram and parsley to enhance their
flavour.
At South West Snails we take care to only use fresh ingredients.
Our snails are simmered until tender in a freshly made court bouillon
stock. They are then put into presentation shells with our own special
blended butter fillings.
The finished escargots are blast frozen to ensure the freshest
final product for you and your friends.
You may have your own special recipes you wish to use. At
South West Snails we can supply you with both fresh live snails and
cooked snail meats.

In order
to provide the diner with variety, we have created sumptuous fillings
for our in-shell escargots.
1. There is the traditional garlic, shallot and parsley
butter, rich and melting, evocative of the French countryside. .

2. Or try our mountain gorgonzola, chive and garlic butter,
creamy and fragrant with a gentle tang.

These butters are also available in pots for other uses.
Try making garlic bread with a difference, spice up your potatoes,
or place onto a grilled steak or chicken breast for a perfect melting
sauce.
